For most of the students, IELTS Exam always comes up with loads of stress and nervousness. Hundreds of questions, like will you be able to score required band, are you prepared good or not, etc. struck your mind as the day of exam approaches.  I, personally, suggest that once you are sure that you have really put your total efforts into the test preparation, you should relax and prepare yourself mentally for exam day.

Here are some things to think about as your test day approaches:

  1. Know proper about the exam venue. Make sure that you know where the test venue is and how to get there. If you have never visited that place, you should plan about when and how to visit there. If possible, take a break from preparation and visit test venue in advance. 
  2. Plan to have few good night sleeps the night before the test. I suggest you to dispose off all your study material in almirah at least two days before the test!
  3. Most importantly, arrive at the location 15-20 minutes early at the test venue. This will help you manage your restlessness and regain your energy.
  4. Make sure that you bring all necessary documents along with yourself because no excuse will work at the exam venue. Important documents include passport/national identity card – the same identification document as you used to register for the IELTS test. It is very important that you keep all important documents in a bag prior to exam day because without them you will not be able to take the test.
  5. Pack pens, pencils and erasers that you will need for the test. Once you are sure that you have packed each and everything necessary for the IELTS exam, stay relaxed and prepare yourself mentally for the exam.
