The best way to assure that you have finished your report and essay (writing tasks) is to notice that you have arrived at the conclusion. The conclusion could be one sentence long or may be a paragraph.
In the task 1, you wrote a summary of the information at the end of first paragraph (introduction). In the task 2, at the same position, you have written your thesis statement. If you repeat both sentences in the conclusion, it means you qualify the writing task and it is finished. And you won’t loss the whole Band point needlessly.
Here’s are few tips for IELTS Writing Tasks
- Ensure that you write an influencing summary in writing task 1 and excellent thesis statement in the writing task 2. Your essay and report won’t work without these things.
- Keep an eye on your watch too! None is going to take care of your time. You have to monitor your progression with time yourself.
- In the writing task 1, if 18 minutes are done and you are still writing the body paragraph sentence, then quickly end the sentence. Then start the next paragraph with the words “In conclusion” and continue with rewriting the summary. You can modify a few words in the summary here, if possible.
- In the writing task2, if 38 minutes are passed and you are still writing the body paragraph sentence, right now finish the sentence quickly. Start the next paragraph with the word “In conclusion”, and write down the thesis statement. It is an important part of the essay.
- Make sure that you finish both conclusions on time. You have total 60 minutes to complete the tasks.
